GoCars are easy and fun to drive. They're guided by GPS (Global Positioning System) technology- the car always knows where you are, even if you don't. As you drive, it tells you where to turn, what you're passing, and it even waits patiently if you want to stop. As soon as you turn your GoCar back on, the tour picks up where it left off.

The GoCar tour begins in Fisherman's Wharf at the GoCar headquarters, the tour takes you past the most spectacular San Francisco sites - from the bay, to the ocean, to the famous parks, neighborhoods and streets in between.

GoCars can be rented by the hour, or by the day. Best of all, you don't have to decide before you leave how long you'll be gone. Renting a two-person GoCar, it costs $69.98 for the first two hours, and $20.00 per hour thereafter. After 5 hours, there are no additional charges. We even round down to the nearest 15-minutes so you don't pay for time not used.
To rent a GoCar, you must at least be a licensed driver 18-years of age. The cars are approved for use on city streets, but not the bridges or freeways.
The 3-wheeled cars seat two and have a lockable trunk for your things. Their small size makes parking a breeze, and in San Francisco, that's a major bonus. They can even be parked in motorcycle parking.
The Alcatraz portion of the tour is a “standard Alcatraz Day Tour”. We provide a booking service for purchasing Alcatraz tickets. The prices shown on this page includes our $10 booking fee. The tickets will be purchased in your name. You will pickup your tickets at the pre-paid window at Pier 33. You can see “More Info” section of the Alcatraz Day Tour on our Home page for more details on Alcatraz.
We update our Alcatraz inventory daily, (even more frequently) in busy periods, but we cannot guarantee that there will always be a specific time slot available for Alcatraz that doesn't conflict with the GoCar. Of course you are not charged for either portion of the tour if we cannot confirm an appropriate Alcatraz departure time. No food or drinks on allowed on Alcatraz Island.
T
The National Park Service manages Alcatraz Island. GoCar of San Francisco manages GoCar.
Note :
Prices on this page are for one person for a 2 hour GoCar tour (one GoCar; holding two passengers) and a single person Alcatraz day tour. A GoCar will carry two people. Adding a passenger increases the price by the cost of an Alcatraz Day Tour ticket.
